Gillette Oil Control 2 in 1 Face Wash + Body Wash. Product Review

Yet another product, I received as a free Gillette sample, was the Gillette Oil Control 2 in 1 Face Wash + Body Wash. I was going to give it to my husband to use, but he is happy using bath soap, so I figured it wouldn’t get wasted.

The bottle I have is 1.7 fluid ounces (50ml) and a nice size for a sample. It is more the size of a travel product. It is exactly the same shape as the 12 fluid ounce size. The bottle is gray and blue. The blue top is actually on the bottom, as this stands on the cap. It has really nice grips on the sides of the bottle, so no fear of dropping it in the shower. I love this feature.

In the shower, I had difficulty in getting the top off the bottle. Even though it has grips to help remove the top, the first time, I really had to pull at it. As soon as the bottle was open, I immediately got the smell of this man’s product. I liked it, but it was a little overpowering, in the confines of a shower stall. The liquid is fairly thick, clear, and has blue beads in it.

I put the Gillette Oil Control 2 in 1 Face Wash + Body Wash on my cloth, and applied it to my wet body. I allowed it to stay on for a few minutes before rinsing it off. I got a little of the liquid in my hands, and applied it to my face. I only used a very tiny amount, and made sure it didn’t go near my eyes. Again, I thoroughly rinsed my face.

The body wash gave me a small amount of lather. However, at the end of my shower, my body felt clean and refreshing. My face really didn’t feel any different, and as I don’t have oily skin, I would keep this as a body wash only.

The cap was very easy to snap back on, and the bottle was sealed tight.

Gillette have made a good product, and I will probably pass over to Len to use. I think he will enjoy the very strong manly smell it has. I checked on the ingredients to find out, and all it says is fragrance. The main ingredients are:

Water, sodium, laureth sulfate, cocamido-propyl.

As with most products there is a warning to keep away from the eye area. In the event that it gets in the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
